Stowe has a cool 5.3 - 5.5 mile Recreational Path that goes through town, over rivers, through farmlands (at least that is what it looks like)...and I've been wanting to check it out. It will probably be hard pack snow and good to run on, but I'm not 100% sure...but we'll find out. The plan is to do an out and back for 10-11 miles OR if there's a group that only wants to do 5.5 we can shuttle a car to the North end or people can choose to run part way and turn around for any distance you want. Here is the link to a map - it starts at the intersection with Rt 100 and runs north to Brook Road and parallels Rt 108/Mountain Road.

The plan is to meet at my house on Sat morning in Burlington and carpool over. OR, simply let me know and we'll plan to meet at the Rt 100 parking area at the South end of the path. We can choose as a group if we want to grab some chow and a beer afterward...which I would like to cast an enthusiastic 'yes' vote for :)

Please feel free to shoot me an email with any questions.

Your humble trailhead,
Mike

You said to be there at 10:30 if we are coming from the south, right? Becca, I'm a rather slow pace. Doing it for the miles, not the speed.

Below freezing with wind chill, but simply amazing. 10.5 miles of wonderful scenery, good company, snow covered bridges, and frosty cheeks...both sets :) Cannot wait to run it again.
    •  It was cold. It was challenging. It was fun.
