Introduction
Because I love the peace of the trail.
How long have you been running?
Off and on for a long time.
Any trail running experience? If yes, what have you done?
A bit on the catamount and long trail. Have tried orienteering several times.
Short term trail running goals?
Keep running to work and back every day. Strengthen feet, avoid running shoes. Keep going through the winter. Do a "lap around burlington" from home, and a "lap around camel's hump" from Duxbury. Get to know more old overgrown roads, bring a compass.
Long term trail running goals?
Ultra and ultra lifestyle - simplicity and staying in touch with the things that are most important. Run the long trail. Stay young, be raw. Run around Mont Blanc. (check out the race) I really like the ultra way of life.
What do you want to get out of this group?
Community, trail beta, running.

IdeaVery nice - Trail Running at Delaware Water GapOk, not local, but many of us drive through this area to visit relatives, etc. Park where I-80 meets the water gap, run up old mine road, and within 1 mi. there is a small trail behind a gate off to the left, very nice! G -

likesLittle River State Park to Cotton Brook, etc.Had forgotten how nice this is. Park at the boat ramp just after the dam, walk/run to Campground entrance, (where they have maps showing how Little River connects to Cotton Brook) and take a left.... -

likesMud City LoopBefore I forget, here is the location of mud city. I wish I could remember better, but there should be a parking spot on mud city road, then a long gradual upslope into the mountains.... -
