Solstice(ish) Social Run

The darkest Thursday night of the year! We’ll do something special this Thurs by lighting up the night - dress in as many lights, reflectives, super bridget colors, battery-powered xmas lights…whatever you’ve got!

Details to follow - ideally we’ll end the run with a bonfire and some warm cider/mulled wine/etc, because friends made the long winter bearable!

VT Krampuslauf Race

Looking to squeeze in one more ultra in 2021? Up for trying something different? Not afraid of a little cold weather (or snow, or ice, or mud)?

The Vermont Krampuslauf offers a 5K, 10K and 50K option at Suicide Six Ski Resort down in Pomfret, and benefits one of our favorite charities - Vermont Adaptive Sports!

The course is a challenging 5K loop (climbing up to the top of the resort, 1200’ of gain per 5K and riding the ski lift down each time) - 10K folks run it twice, 50K folks do it 10 times! More details, the legend/tradition of “Krampus”, and registration here: Krampuslauf Info

GMAA Turkey Trot

The 45th Annual GMAA Turkey Trot! Start your turkey day off with some good old fashioned exercise (or relish being “that person” that drags their family members out too!). This 5K benefits the Chittenden County food shelf (bring $5 donation and/or a food donation!) - more details can be found here: GMAA Turkey Trot Deets

This event is rain, snow or shine and beginner/walker friendly (start towards the back of the pack). Gobble gobble!

Spruce Street repeats - run, jog, powerhike up….jog or walk back down and repeat! Great training for winter mountain pursuits (backcountry or crosscountry skiing!) too. We’ll do a 1 mile warm-up, followed by as many (or few) hill repeats as you like!

Wear reflective or bright gear, lights, etc and stop at all intersections. Details are on MeetUp!
